What to expect
Yoga & Movement:
Our program offers a rich variety of activities, with the opportunity to attend all yoga and meditation sessions throughout the retreat. Each day is thoughtfully designed to include movement practices, grounded in somatic yoga and embodied inquiry-based techniques, promoting a deeper connection with your body and mind. Additionally, there will be a private group class on Saturday and Sunday to discuss your personal progression and exploration.
We offer daily movement sessions that honor the balance of feminine and masculine energies, integrating both solar (active, strength-based) and moon (intuitive, restorative) practices. From gentle, grounding sessions to more progressive, challenging practices, each class provides a space to explore your foundation, while also pushing the boundaries of your personal growth.
Our team of wellness experts will guide you through workshops and sessions designed to help you achieve your health and well-being goals. This retreat creates an immersive environment where self-care is nurtured continuously through movement, breath, relaxation, and contemplation, allowing you to align body, mind, and spirit.
Treatments Included:
Personalized Massage Therapy: Experience the therapeutic touch of our skilled massage therapists. A 40-min session is included to soothe muscles, release tension, and promote overall well-being. More session are available by request.
Wisdom Circles:
Our wisdom circles provide a sacred space where we come together to explore and reflect on topics related to our energy, vitality, and the deep understanding of our inner resources. In these circles, we honor the wisdom that each individual brings, recognizing that our unique stories and experiences offer valuable insights for collective growth. These conversations create a dynamic exchange, where we integrate shared wisdom and learn from each other's journeys. It's a space for vulnerability, connection, and empowerment, allowing us to deepen our understanding of ourselves and each other. Nature Hike:
We will go to a special journey into nature, where we will visit the majestic Taranaki Mounga and immerse ourselves in the healing presence of the natural world. This accessible hike offers a gentle yet profound connection to the land, allowing us to engage with the element of water in its purest form. As we walk through the lush landscapes, we’ll honor the sacredness of this land and its waters, deeply rooted in the traditions of the region. The hike provides an opportunity for reflection, grounding, and spiritual connection, offering a chance to recharge our energy and deepen our bond with the earth. The beauty and serenity of Taranaki Mounga will serve as a powerful backdrop for our shared experience of peace, vitality, and inner renewal.
Free Time Exploration:
While our program is rich with transformative activities, we recognize the value of solitude and personal exploration. During your free time, we encourage you to wander and explore. Perhaps you'll find a quiet spot to meditate, read, or simply soak in the natural beauty.
Beyond exploring the surroundings, use this free time to connect. With yourself, with nature, and with fellow sojourners. Share stories, exchange insights, or simply enjoy the collective energy of like-minded individuals.

Walking trails:
Sanctuary Hill is surrounded by the lush greenery of the Taranaki region. During this Retreat you can walk around the property to enjoy the views of Mt. Taranaki, listen to the birds of the region, walk through the orchard and visit the different areas around our property. If you are feeling more invited to rest back and enjoy the view, you can relax in our various outdoor areas to bask in nature.

We believe that food is medicine for the body and soul. Our nourishing meals are thoughtfully crafted using wholesome, locally-sourced ingredients that support your body’s vitality and renewal. About New Plymouth
Transportation:
Sanctuary Hill is located only 15 minute drive from the New Plymouth Airport. We are happy to organize a shuttle service with an independent specialized company which normally charges NZ$35 dlls one-way.
New Plymouth is the major city of the Taranaki Region on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
Notable features are the botanic gardens (i.e. Pukekura Park), the critically acclaimed Len Lye Centre and Art Gallery, the 11 km (6.8 mi) Coastal Walkway alongside the Tasman Sea, the Len Lye-designed artwork known as the Wind Wand, Paritutu Rock, and views of Mount Taranaki/Egmont. New Plymouth Airport has daily services from Air New Zealand and Jetstar airlines.
